[ROOT][UNROOT] Root & Unroot Your Xiaomi Redmi 1s

Tips and tricks - Here i l share how to root youre Redmi 1s ...

i ll give you two tutorial .. so if one fail you can try the next one :)

enjoy !!!!..... do at your own risk

Fisrt Trick tutorial :

1) Redmi 1S Must Be Running On The Stock MIUI ROM.

2) USB Debugging Must Be Enabled. (Settings > About Phone > Tap The Build Number Five Times To Enable Developer Option > Go Back To Settings > Developer Options > Tick On USB Debugging).

3) Please Make A Backup To Avoid Panic In Case Of Data Loss.

1) Download Both Attachments. (DOWNLOAD)

2) Copy These Files In The Root Directory Of Internal Storage Of The Phone.

3) Rename Root Xiaomi Redmi 1s By thedevilashish.zip To update.zip

4) Now Reboot To Recovery Mode (Open Updater App Which Is In Tools Folder)

5) In MI Recovery Menu You Need To Select Your Language And Reboot Into Recovery.

6) Select And Confirm ‘Install update.zip to System’

7) Reboot The Device. Select And Confirm The ‘Reboot’ Option

8) After Reboot, Go To Security Option And Allow The Permission To Activate The ‘Root Permission’.

9) Done! You Have Root Access Now

UNROOTING YOURE DEVICE :

1) Deactivate The ‘Root Permission’ In Security Options

2) Rename Unroot Xiaomi Redmi 1s By thedevilashish.zip to Update.zip

3) Now Reboot To Recovery Mode (Open Updater App Which Is In Tools Folder)

4) Select And Confirm ‘Install update.zip to System’

5) Reboot The Device. Select And Confirm The ‘Reboot’ Option

6) You Have Sucessfully Unrooted Your Redmi 1s

note

1) Please Don't Update Your Xiaomi Redmi 1s After Rooting. 2) Modifying/Removing Any System App/File Will Not Let You Update Even After You Have Unrooted. 3) Never Edit Build.Prop. 4)

Cautions - I'm not Responsible for anything its your choice and work (Nothing will go wrong by the way, I've tried it myself )

Lets Start with it

Requisites :-
1 - The Phone Redmi 1s [Indian versions supported]

2 - Some basic knowledge about recovery

3 -Download Attachment (HERE)

4 - Patience

The PROCESS

1- Download the attachment "update.zip" and place it in the INTERNAL storage of Redmi 1s

2 - Download the SuperSU zip and place it in EXTERNAL sdcard

3 - Go to updater app -> options menu -> reboot to recovery

4 - In the recovery menu choose english (volume buttons will help )

5 - Apply Update to system (something like that), confirm it using volume buttons and power button

6 - Reboot System

7 - After the boot completes go to the updater app again and reboot to recovery (ref step 3)

8 - Well you have Philz recovery loaded within no time and if you have used this recovery before in any other phone then its easy

8.1 - If you are doing it for first time, Use power button and volume button for selection and navigation - install zip ->Choose zip from external_sd (some times sdcard1) -> navigate down and choose the zip and say yes if prompted (All using power button(selection) and volume buttons(navigation)

9 - After flashing completes -> reboot system -> say yes for fixing recovery

10 - done!!! enjoy your rooted redmi 1s

Warrning - you will lose stock recovery, your apps and data wont be hurt

UPDATE VIA OTA SUPPORTED!!!
